Measurements
Vest
When measuring for a vest, we require the girth, chest, and tuck measurements. Girth is measure all the way around over the ribs (or over the largest part of the body). Tuck is measured all the way around, over the end of the waist (or over the smallest part of the body). Chest is measured right before the armpit, over the chest, and to the other armpit.
Straight Front Harness
When measuring for a straight front, we require the girth and full chest measurements. Girth is measure all the way around over the ribs (or over the largest part of the body). Chest is measured starting from the middle of the ribs, around the chest, and to the middle of the other ribs.
Y-Front Harness
For a Y-front Harness we require shoulder, girth, and sternum measurements. For shoulders, measure from between the shoulder blades, across the shoulder, to the center of the chest. (Not all the way around). For sternum, measure from the center of the chest (where the shoulder measurement stopped), between the legs and to where the girth strap would be. For girth, measure all the way around the ribs (or around the largest part of your dog's body).
Cape
For capes we ask for girth and tuck measurements. For girth measurements, measure all the way around the ribs (or the largest part of the body). For tuck, measure all the way around the end of the belly (or around the smallest part of the body).
Cape Panel Size
For capes we ask for panel width and length. For width, measure an inch from where the harness ends, down towards the tuck for whatever desired length. For length, measure below the ribs, over the back, and to the other side of the ribs. The max panel length for capes is 22" (anything larger inquires a fee). The max panel width for a cape is 10" (anything larger inquires a fee).
Vest Panel Size
For vests we ask for panel width and length. For width, measure an inch fromthe armpits, down towards the tuck for whatever desired length. For length, measure below the ribs, over the back, and to the other side of the ribs. The max panel length for vest is 22" (anything larger inquires a fee). The max panel width for a cape is 15" (anything larger inquires a fee).
Guide Handle
For guide handles we ask for the desire length, the length doesn't change whether you get semi-rigid or fully rigid, or whether you get straight or offset handles. The guide handle is measured from where the guide rings are located, then up towards your hand where you are most comfortable holding the handle. (We not not make handles over 18").
Panel Size
For both vests and capes we require panel length and width. Width is measured side to side, from armpit to tuck. Length is measured from the ribs, over the back, to the other side of the ribs.
Pullstrap
For pull straps we ask for the desired length. You measure this from where your harness's d-rings are, then up towards you where your hand would be the most comfortable grabbing the pull strap.
Counter-Balance Handle
For a counter balance handle we ask for the length of the handle. (we DO NOT ask for the length off the back, we ask for the TOTAL length). Measure from the cb-rings (mid way down the ribs) up to where your hand is most comfortable.
